Tim has been at the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant since 1994 after serving churches in Seattle, Washington and Downey, in southeast Los Angeles County. After having grown up in Hollywood, he received his degree at Fuller Theological Seminary and was ordained at the Hollywood Presbyterian Church in 1977. He enjoys preaching and bringing a blended worship encounter each week to the people of our congregation. He also loves to teach the Bible in groups that allow for interaction and sharing. Tim and his wife Ruth have three children, all recent college graduates and living in southern California and Washington state. His passion is to serve Christ and to build his church in ways which offer personal and caring relationships. In his leisure time he enjoys playing golf and watching baseball and basketball.

Rev. Sharon Yagerlener, Parish Associate Office Phone: (714)557-3340 Sharon has been part of PCC for many years, recently coming on staff as Parish Associate. Raised in Michigan she became a Registered Nurse working in pediatrics and obstetrics and in 1974 she moved to California, a stay-at-home mom raising four children. During this time, Sharon also worked for the Newport-Mesa Unified School District as a special educational instructional aid. After her kids were grown, she decided to attend seminary and pursue a call to the ordained ministry and while attending Fuller Seminary, she took a position as a part-time chaplain at Long Beach Memorial/Miller Children’s Hospital. Since being ordained in the Presbyterian Church, Sharon has become the full-time chaplain at that same hospital where she works with children in the intensive care and oncology units, with babies in the neonatal ICU. Sharon also ministers to mothers who have experienced the loss of their child during pregnancy bringing a real passion and the grace of God into each situation. In her spare time, she enjoys her five grandchildren, quilting, scrap-booking, reading and traveling. |
